Hotkeys, onboarding, and rock-solid reliability

The biggest release since launch

Glaido 0.1.0 is out. This release rethinks how you start and stop dictation, makes your first minutes with the app much smoother, and hardens everything underneath so a full day of dictation never loses a word.

Hotkeys that fit your setup

Hotkeys are how you talk to Glaido, so they should adapt to you.

• Hotkey settings are now scoped per platform. Your Mac keeps its bindings and your Windows machine keeps its own, and neither overwrites the other.
• The hotkey picker now warns you before you save a combination that could clash with your system or another shortcut, instead of letting you find out the hard way.
• Reassigning a key that is already in use asks you what to do, so no binding silently disappears.

A smoother first run

Setting up Glaido now takes less thought.

• Your dictation language defaults to your system locale, so most people never touch the setting.
• Microphone setup guides you through picking and testing the right input before your first recording.
• Coming from Wispr Flow? You can bring your data over during onboarding in a couple of clicks.

You install Glaido, and two minutes later you are dictating. That is the goal.

Reliability you can feel

A dictation app has one unbreakable promise. What you said ends up on screen. We spent a large part of this release making sure that holds under pressure.

• Audio is preserved even if the app shuts down mid-recording or a session stalls. Glaido notices, recovers, and keeps your words.
• If your connection degrades while you speak, Glaido switches to a backup route automatically and finishes the job.
• Corporate network? Glaido now works behind corporate proxies out of the box.
• Your local history storage checks and repairs itself, so a bad disk moment does not take your transcripts with it.

None of this is visible in a screenshot. All of it is visible on a bad Wi-Fi day.

A better conversation with the agent

The agent window learned some manners. Conversations flow naturally with smooth message animations and automatic scrolling, and you can click any response to copy it instantly. Small touches, but you talk to the agent a lot, so they add up.

Your account, easier to manage

The web dashboard got attention too:

• Signed up with Google or another provider? You can now set a password from the sign-in screen.
• Account pages work properly on your phone, with full navigation and menus.
• Deleting your account is now a clear option in settings. We hope you never use it, but it is yours to find.
